Marks Group together with Coastline Housing have completed the restoration worksto our Centre.  It looks fantastic!  Big thank you to the Mark Group and Coastline Housing for their generosity.  The works would have cost us over £11,000.00. We continue as a Committee to work hard to keep funds coming into the Centre. There have been several events recently, including Fish & Chip Supper, Pasty Evening, Themed Around the World Foods, Roast Dinners, Harvest Festival.  In December we had the Christmas Dinner.  All these events help raise vital funds to keep the Centre open and pay the bills. We thank our Members and their family and friends for attending these events and supporting us. We have lots more ideas for 2016. Please see the Calendar page for more information.

We are very lucky here in Camborne as we have much support and help from the local businesses who continue to donate food and items for our events and raffles. Debbie Harvey, Katherine Thomas and Jackie Goldie have recently attended a course in Exeter. This course was due to BBC Children in Need giving Cornwall Deaf Centre a grant towards Children's Equipment and a new shed for the garden area. The ladies will continue to work hard to keep grants coming into the Centre.

Many Local Town Councils have also been very generous. We have written to all the Town Councils in Cornwall requesting help from their Community Funds.  We are trying to raise enough money to put Disabled Access doors into the Centre, something very important.  We will keep you updated on the progress of these grants.  Mike Palmer celebrated his 65th Birthday in September 2015.  A party was held at the Centre and Mike very kindly donated £100 from his birthday money to us.  Big thank you to Mike. As a Committee we work hard to look for grants. Sally & Mike Palmer raised over £600 and kindly donated this money for a new  Smart TV which has now been installed.

We would like to ask our Members and their family and friends if they know of any Companies/Organisations that would be able to help us in the future, then please do contact us.  We are living in a Society now where many people are struggling to cope financially, and we continue to look for ways to raise the funds needed. For those of you that use the internet, a very easy way to help us raise funds is to shop on line using EASYFUNDRAISING.

Across the Country Deaf Centres are closing but we will not let that happen in Cornwall.  We have lots planned for 2016.  Your ideas are welcome. At the AGM on 7th May 2016 the Annual Accounts will be available and we will be able to let you know how much was raised during 2015.
